Proofreading is recommended for documents intended for publication or print and to clients who do not have a company representative to approve the translation.
A second specialist translator will read both the source and target texts checking for consistency, accuracy and style as well as ensuring that the text is appropriate for the target audience.
If you have had a file translated elsewhere, we would still be happy to check this for you regardless of whether or not we have originally translated the document.
:: Linguistic QA
This service is recommended for documents intended for publication or print which require desktop publishing such as newsletters, brochures, books, and websites. As translations can expand or shrink by up to 25%, it is sometimes difficult to fit the text into a fixed page layout.
Editing must be carried out by a native speaker in order to avoid cutting out essential information or making a sentence grammatically incorrect. Our translators will read through the target text, re-wording and editing where necessary, as well as checking for spelling, grammatical errors and misalignment.
:: Translation Review
Where possible, it is recommended that translations are reviewed by a company representative as they are familiar with your business and can ensure that the correct terminology is used and that the translation meets your preferred company style. We welcome any feedback from in-country reviewers as this allows us to work together to create approved glossaries and style guides.
